This listing is for a set of mini handmade paper prayer flags from Nepal. There are 25 paper prayer flags and each flag measures 3 inches by 3 inches. On this set there are wind horse (lungta in Tibetan) designs and has five different colors. It is great for inside your house or shrine or gift. They are all strung together as you see in the picture and well made.
Prayer flags are usually to hang indoor and out on roof top or top of mountains that the wind blows and releases prayers into the universe and create a warm environment. In Tibet, Nepal or India, you can see prayer flags on the hill top or on the temple or stupas.
Nepali Lokta Paper
Nepal Lokta paper is prepared with the age old techniques of traditional Nepalease artistry. It is made from the bark of the Daphne Cannabina bush, which grows naturally in the Himalayas at altitudes of 6500 to 9500 feet. After harvesting, the Daphne Cannabina bush naturally regenerates, reaching full maturity again in six to seven years. The paper and the process of making it are completely natural.
