ORDERS & SHIPPING
How long does shipping take? Most orders ship within 1-2 business days from our Hawaii workshop. Standard shipping within the US typically takes 3-5 business days. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
Do you offer free shipping? Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $50 within the United States. Orders under $50 ship at a flat rate.
Do you ship internationally? Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight. Delivery times vary by country, typically 7-14 business days.
Can I track my order? Absolutely. Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking link. You can also check your order status anytime by logging into your account.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
What is your return policy? We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in original, unworn condition. Custom or personalized items are non-returnable unless defective.
How do I start a return? Email us at handsoftibet@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll send you a return shipping label and instructions.
What if my item arrived damaged? We're so sorry! Please email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged item and your order number. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no need to return the damaged piece.
PRODUCT CARE
How do I care for my copper bracelet or ring? Copper naturally oxidizes over time, developing a beautiful patina. To restore shine, rub with a lemon wedge and a pinch of salt, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid exposure to water, lotion, and perfume to slow tarnishing.
How do I care for my mala beads? Wood and seed malas (rudraksha, bodhi, sandalwood) can be lightly oiled with a drop of natural oil (like coconut or almond) to prevent drying. Keep them dry and store away from direct sunlight. Gemstone malas can be gently wiped with a soft cloth.
How do I care for my prayer flags? Our prayer flags are handmade and screen-printed on cotton fabric in Nepal. They're designed to weather naturally outdoors — the fading is part of the Tibetan tradition, symbolizing the impermanence of all things. For indoor display, keep away from direct sunlight to preserve colors.
Will my copper bracelet turn my skin green? This is completely normal and harmless! It's a natural reaction between copper and your skin's pH. It washes off easily with soap and water. Applying a thin layer of clear nail polish to the inside of the bracelet can prevent this if it bothers you.
ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
What is a mala and how do I use it? A mala is a string of prayer beads used in meditation to count mantras or breaths. Hold the mala in your right hand, resting it on your ring or middle finger. Move one bead at a time toward you with your thumb after each mantra or breath. A full mala has 108 beads, and wrist malas are a smaller, wearable version.
Are your products really handmade? Yes. Every piece is either made by Tenzin himself or handcrafted by skilled artisans in Nepal and Bali who are paid fair wages. No mass production, ever.
Are your prayer flags handmade? Yes. Every flag is handmade and screen-printed on cotton fabric by our artisans in Nepal. Each set is printed one color at a time, then sewn and strung by hand. No machine printing, no mass production — just traditional craftsmanship.
Where do your materials come from? Our rudraksha seeds come from Indonesia, bodhi seeds from Nepal, gemstones from trusted suppliers, and all metalwork is handcrafted in Nepal. Each product description includes specific material sourcing.
What does "ethically handmade" mean? It means every artisan who makes our products receives fair, respectful compensation for their skill and time. We work directly with makers — no middlemen, no sweatshops, no factory floors.
